Loose Leaf Teas Orders of 1-lb. to 5-lb. per variety: All orders below 5-lb. per variety are packed in 1-lb. or 1-kg increment. We use high barrier stand-up pouches to pack our loose leaf teas. These pouches do not allow light to penetrate the tea leaves, and they are equip with re-sealable zippers. You do not need transfer the teas to another container in order to store them for a longer period of time. Orders of 5-lbs./variety, 11-lbs./variety and above: All orders 5-lbs./variety and above are packed in FDA-approved food grade plastic packages that hold either 5-lbs. or 11-lbs. per package (depending on leaf size of the teas). These packages are heat-sealed and are transparent. We recommend that once these packages are opened, the teas should immediately be transferred to airtight dark containers for long term storage. Packaging Options Repack all teas in 1-lb. or 1-kg. stand-up pouches: If you are buying over 5-lbs. per variety and would like to retain the freshness of your teas, we can pack your teas in 1-lb. or 1-kg. stand-up pouches instead of the 5-lbs. or 11-lbs. packages.
